BEHIND THE MUSIC OF THE BREEZE

The Breeze has been together for a little over a year. Most of the members met at Bishop Feehan High school in Attleboro and eventually formed the band, playing at private parties, hosted events, and local restaurants. Now they’re passionate about growing their musical skills and achieving the next level of success. Learn more about The Breeze and their professional music journey.

Meet the Band

Lead Vocalist, Co-Leader

Julia Carson

Julia is the vocalist for The Breeze. Under Barbara Wilson Arboleda, MS CCC-SLP, Julia was trained vocally in rock, pop, jazz, and musical theater for 5 years. She is currently a junior at Providence College. She is a Biology major on the premed track and participates in PC's coed acapella group, Strictly Speaking, and the student leader of PC's liturgical ensemble.

Guitarist, Co-Leader

Jacob Calamar

Jacob is the lead guitarist of the Breeze. He’s self taught and along with guitar can play piano, drums, bass, ukulele, harmonica, trumpet and tuba. Some of his influences include Randy Rhoads, Slash, Brian May and Eddie Van Halen. He’s also heavily influenced by the blues with Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughn being a few names that have helped shape his playing style.

Pianist

Jordan McBride

Jordan is a pianist and keyboard player who has been studying music since the age of four. Under several piano instructors, he has formally studied pop, rock, jazz, blues, and classical music. He recently graduated from Providence College with a major in Accounting and a minor in Music. Currently, Jordan is pursuing his MBA at PC.

Bassist

Nick Calamar

Nick is the bass player for The Breeze. He is currently a freshman Pharmacy major at St John's University. He’s self taught in guitar and bass and has been playing bass for just over 2 years now.

Drummer

Quentin Kahn

Quentin is the drummer for The Breeze and has been playing for ten years. He is currently a freshman at Belmont University. After studying under a number of instructors, Quentin is now a student at the Rob Coyne School of Music Education in Warren Rhode Island. He owes every part of his talent and success as a musician to his parents who have supported him since he began.

Sound Technician, Side Vocalist

Ben Carson

Ben engineers the sound for The Breeze and occasionally sings and plays guitar or bass. He is self taught for piano, guitar, bass, and audio engineering. Ben recently graduated from Sacred Heart with majors in Managing and Marketing and a minor in Business. He continues to perform at Sacred Heart events and writes and produces his own music. Ben is currently getting his Master's Degree in Marketing at SHU.

Drummer

Corey Hall

Corey plays the drums for The Breeze. Corey recently graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Professional Music and emphasis in performance, production, and business. Corey has recently been tapping into performing his childhood genre live, that being progressive metal, where he shows his true passion with the world.
